Hilton Unveils Plans for Luxury Hotels in 2024
Wells Fargo downgraded Sunstone Hotels and revised DiamondRock Hospitality and Apple Hospitality’s ratings. According to the National Travel and Tourism Office, international visitors to the U.S. in October 2023 spent $18.9 billion, marking a 23% increase from the previous year. In 2024, Hilton’s luxury portfolio, inclusive of Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts and LXR Hotels & Resorts will announce offerings that will provide guests with new brand signatures. -

U.S. Hotel Industry Performance (Oct 2023): Shows mixed results with slight declines in occupancy (-1.8%) and EBIDTA PAR (-1.2%), but increases in ADR (+3.0%), RevPAR (+1.2%), TRevPAR (+4.0%), GOPPAR (+3.7%), and LPAR (+5.9%). Hilton and Hallmark Launch Christmas-Themed Partnership
Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc has entered into a partnership with Hallmark Channel to create Christmas-themed suites inspired by Hallmark’s “Countdown to Christmas” movies. The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas has completed phase one of a multimillion-dollar property-wide transformation. This includes a redesign of all 389 guestrooms and suites and upgrades to meeting and event spaces. Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe, located in South Lake Tahoe, California, has announced its December 14th opening date. The transformation of the former Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel into a Margaritaville property cost over $70 million. -

STR reported a week ending September 23rd with a 1.2% increase in US hotel RevPAR and a 1.8% rise in Group RevPAR. Barclays lowered price targets for Travel + Leisure to $38 and Marriott Vacations to $118 while maintaining their respective ratings. Marriott International revealed a three-year growth plan, targeting the addition of 230,000 to 270,000 net rooms by 2025 and emphasizing global portfolio expansion and RevPAR growth. -

Hilton to More Than Double Its Luxury Hotels in Asia Pacific
The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 generated $2.98 billion in travel and retail spending in NSW, boosting the economy and drawing record audiences to hospitality venues. Hilton plans to open 25 new luxury hotels in the Asia Pacific region, including its Waldorf Astoria brand in countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, and India. Hotel Properties received approval for a S$1-2 billion project to redevelop prime properties on Orchard Road. The redevelopment includes twin skyscrapers, retail, office, residential spaces, and a performance theater, making it Orchard Road’s largest property redevelopment. -
